No! The neck ice ring is made from PCM (Phase Change Material) which is a durable material to keep the water from leaking once melted and to keep your skin from burning.
How do I get the best use out of the Neck Ice Ring?
Before your run, make sure it has been in the freezer for at least 10-20 minutes or put it under cold water from a sink. The neck ice ring is even better when paired with cooling towels to block direct sun heat and keep it cold. If you're running in a race with support, it is optimal to have at least 2 ice rings so that you can swap them out as needed.
